Shred the Secrets Room 6 Guide: Crowbar & Basement Door

Shred the Secrets Room 6 guide: sweep the cobwebs, grab the glowing crowbar and pry the planks off the boarded basement door, with screenshots and timestamps.

Last updated: 2026-09-16

Quick answer

Room 6 is the cobweb room — the floor where the game hands you the tools for the Ending 2 chain. The counter reads ROOM 6/12 in the current 12-room build, and the same floor already carried the ROOM 6/8 label in the earlier 8-room build, so the number survived the update even as the run grew from 8 rooms to 12 (floor order: rooms page). Three things define the room. Cobwebs: the game toasts "Use the broom to remove the cobwebs!" as you walk in, and sweeping 20 of them feeds the Housekeeping badge — official description "Clear 20 cobwebs.", an 11.4% earn rate with 161,154 awarded in our badge database snapshot checked 2026-08-18. A glowing crowbar spawns somewhere in the same room — the current-version spot per our items page is the recycling bin on the Sketchy Coworker's upgrade counter, though both recordings screenshotted here found it elsewhere in the room. And a boarded-up doorway at the bottom leads to the basement once the crowbar has ripped every plank off: the Intruder badge's official description is literally "Break every plank off the boarded-up doorway" (a 6% earn rate with 80,933 awarded). Down the stairs the HUD swaps ROOM 6/12 for BASEMENT — the coffee machine, the elevator and the rest of the Ending 2 chain live down there.

Room 6 walkthrough: broom, crowbar, planks, basement

  1. 1

Clear the room like any other. Room 6 still runs on the standard rules: shred to the money goal, keep the document and scrap objectives moving, and re-max Shred Amount and Carry Amount at the room's own upgrade desk — the counter corner with the plant and the shop-discount sign. Keep that corner in mind: its recycling bin is the crowbar's current-version home per our items page.

  2. 2

Sweep the cobwebs with the broom. The toast "Use the broom to remove the cobwebs!" fires the moment you walk in, and the broom locks onto nearby strands the same way it locks onto paper balls. Sweep as you go so the webs stop cluttering your running lanes. Every 20 cobwebs cleared feeds the Housekeeping badge — the full checklist lives in the all badges guide.

  3. 3

Find the glowing crowbar. It sparkles, so once you are close it is hard to miss. The current-version answer is the recycling bin on the upgrade counter (/items#crowbar); in the two recordings below it was not there — in one it stood glowing among the paper stacks next to the floor clock, in the other it leaned against a wall. If the bin is empty, walk the room once. Whether the spawn point is fixed or moves between runs is unverified.

  4. 4

Take the crowbar. The grab prompt reads "Take the crowbar", and the moment it is equipped the game flips to "Click to swing". One recording jokes about fending off the FBI with it — its real job is the doorway at the bottom of the room.

  5. 5

Break every plank off the boarded doorway. The bottom of the room hides the basement entrance behind crisscrossed wooden planks. Swing until the last plank drops: the Intruder badge's official description demands "every plank", and squeezing through a gap is not the bar. The badge's own page is /intruder.

  6. 6

Head down the stairs. Behind the cleared doorway a dark staircase waits, and the HUD label flips from ROOM 6/12 to BASEMENT — the only floor the game renames instead of numbering.

  7. 7

Meet the basement machines. Downstairs: an espresso machine under the framed blueprint poster — take it, wait out the 2-minute pot, and drinking buys a Caffeinated shredding-speed burst — plus an elevator whose toast reads "Everyone needs to get in the elevator." Riding it out earns Joy Ride ("Ride the elevator out of the basement.") and opens the Ending 2 chain; the basement's own step-by-step lives on the basement page.

What the basement owes you — and what stays unverified

Room 6 itself pays three badges. Housekeeping ("Clear 20 cobwebs.", 11.4% earn rate, 161,154 awarded) is the broom work; Intruder ("Break every plank off the boarded-up doorway.", 6%, 80,933) is the crowbar's job; and one floor down, Joy Ride ("Ride the elevator out of the basement.", 9.1%, 127,361) closes the elevator ride — all three from the badge database snapshot checked 2026-08-18. The same chain is also the spine of Ending 2: crowbar, planks, coffee, elevator, and the "under renovation" room where the sweetener reveal lands. What stays unverified: whether the crowbar's spawn point is fixed or moves between runs (the current-version answer is the counter's recycling bin, but both recordings on this page found it elsewhere in the room); whether the 20-cobweb Housekeeping counter is cumulative across runs or demands a single run; and whether the basement detour is a hard requirement for Ending 2 — every recorded run we know took this route, but we have not seen a run skip it. Full badge contexts: /intruder, /joy-ride and the all badges guide.

Sources & data notes

Badge stats (Housekeeping 11.4% / 161,154, Intruder 6% / 80,933, Joy Ride 9.1% / 127,361) come from the Roblox badges API snapshot in our badge database, checked 2026-08-18. Most screenshots on this page come from Risael, TODOS los FINALES de Shred The Secrets Roblox (uploaded 2026-08-07, 9:24 — the current 12-room build, post-[SAVING]; every caption carries its timestamp): Room 6's counter and cobwebs at 3:56, the broom toast at 4:01, the glowing crowbar and its grab prompt at 4:24, the BASEMENT stairway at 4:27, the plank-swinging at 4:30, the elevator panel and the "Everyone needs to get in the elevator." toast at 5:08-5:10, and the ride up with the corner label flipping to ROOM 7/12 at 5:19. Two frames cross-source the current build: InterndotBlox, I Shredded EVERY Paper in Roblox Shred the Secrets (uploaded 2026-08-05, 38:25, also the current 12-room build; the same recording is credited on our Ending 2 page at non-overlapping timestamps) — the cobweb sweep at 14:32 and the intact boarded doorway at 14:53. Bax, I Became a MILLIONAIRE by Shredding Papers (uploaded 2026-07-28, 18:43, the earlier pre-[ENDING 3] 8-room build) is a fact source only: its webcam overlay sits on every frame, so no screenshots were taken, but it corroborates the broom toast wording, the "We need a crowbar to break these planks" prompt, the ROOM 6/8 counter on this floor in the 8-room build, and the crowbar-planks-coffee-elevator chain. Two further candidates were checked and eliminated as frame sources: Clout Brothers, FULL GUIDE (2026-07-27, 5:02 — the run never leaves Room 1 and the menus, so there is no Room 6 footage), and OTTER ON ROBLOX, 0GLvAg65RZg (32:34 — the run ends at the Ending 1 button room with the grocery-list reveal and never reaches Room 6). Room facts cross-check our rooms, secrets and items pages. Still UNKNOWN or unverified: whether the crowbar's spawn point is fixed or varies per run (this page's two recordings disagree with each other and with the current-version answer on the counter bin), whether the 20-cobweb Housekeeping counter is cumulative across runs, whether the basement detour is a hard requirement for Ending 2, and any per-room cobweb counts.
