Shred the Secrets has two endings, and they branch late — you can do both in the same save grind:

• Ending 2 ("Dark Secrets") — the full story route. Ending 1 walkthrough — "What?"

1. 1

   Reach the hidden-button room (Room 5)

   Push through the rooms until the game drops the hint "Find the hidden buttons in the room to unlock the secret document." That message is the starting gun for Ending 1 — four buttons are hidden somewhere in this room.

   Clear every second column of paper

   The room is a maze of floor-to-ceiling paper stacks. Do not shred everything — clear every two columns and sightlines open up between the remaining stacks, which is where the buttons sit.

   Press all 4 hidden buttons

   Each cleared corridor reveals a button glowing green between the stacks. Press all four — the counter on the wall tracks your progress and the document area unlocks.

   Grab the secret document (the golden paper)

   With all four buttons pressed, head into the unlocked side room and pick up the sparkling golden sheet on the table — this is the "secret document" the hint was talking about.

   Watch the reveal: the FBI, a cat, and a grocery list

   The FBI shows up and the "confidential" file turns out to be a grocery list — pickle, cheese, milk, cat food, toilet paper — guarded by a very unimpressed cat. Yes, that is the whole secret.

   The run ends on the OVERVIEW - ENDING 1 screen with your escape time and paper clips. Finishing this route awards the "What?" badge — Ending 1 complete.

   

Ending 2 walkthrough — "Dark Secrets"

1. 7

   Sweep the cobweb room (Room 6)

   In Room 6 the floor is strung with cobwebs. Equip the broom and clear them — sweeping 20 cobwebs across a run also earns the Housekeeping badge.

   Pick up the glowing crowbar

   Something glows between the paper stacks in this same room — a crowbar. Grab it; you cannot open the basement without it.

   

3. 9

   Break every plank on the boarded door

   At the bottom of the room a doorway is boarded up with wooden planks. Swing the crowbar until every single plank comes off — this also earns the Intruder badge.

   

4. 10

   Head down into the basement

   The cleared doorway leads down a dark stairwell into the basement. It is meant to feel wrong — the game even comments on it — but this is the only way to Ending 2.

   

5. 11

   Take the espresso machine

   In the basement kitchen, grab the espresso machine under the framed blueprint poster. The game confirms: the fresh pot will be ready in 2 minutes.

   Wait out the 2-minute brew

   A countdown starts over the machine. Do not idle — keep shredding the basement paper towers while the pot brews, so no time is wasted.

   Drink the coffee for the Caffeinated buff

   When the pot is ready, grab a cup and drink. The Caffeinated buff gives a burst of shredding speed — everything, including cleanup, gets faster.

   Get everybody into the elevator

   Open the elevator and get the whole squad inside — the game insists that everybody needs to get in. Riding it out of the basement earns the Joy Ride badge.

   Push through the "under renovation" office

   The elevator opens into an office strung with UNDER RENOVATION caution tape. Keep clearing paper and press on toward the final room.
