In our source recording, grabbing the document plays the ending cutscene and closes the run on the OVERVIEW - ENDING 1 escape screen. Older recordings on the pre-update build reported that you could peek at the document room and postpone the grab to finish Ending 2 in the same run, and our walkthrough carries that note as unchanged after the update — but we have not re-verified it on the current build, so treat same-run double endings as reported, not confirmed. How long does Ending 1 take?

Expect the better part of an hour of shredding and grinding before the button room pays out. The reference points on record: 48:45 escape time in our 8-room-build source recording and a 53-minute escape in the current-build reference run in our all-endings guide — the spread depends on how much you grind upgrades along the way. It is a solo-friendly route; Ending 2's full-squad badge is the one that needs four players.

Gear up before the hunt. The maze room holds its own upgrades desk under the red UPGRADES sign, and crumpled paper balls carpet the floor — the recordings sweep the room while shredding, so buy your usual upgrades (Shred Amount first is the community-standard order) and work aisle by aisle.

Clear every other column of paper. The buttons hide between the floor-to-ceiling stacks, so the trick is not to shred everything — open sightlines down the aisles instead, exactly the sweep the walkthroughs use. The room's own counter tracks your progress out of 32 paper piles.
