Quick answer: which class should you buy?
Shred the Secrets has 6 classes, each with 3 levels, all bought and upgraded with paperclips — the meta currency you earn by clearing rooms. As shown in the class menu in the source footage, unlock prices run from 100 paperclips (Intern, Associate) up to 1,100 (CEO).
- Best overall (community-reported): CEO — party carry, party cash, big starter money and walk speed in one package. Vorzy’s pick for anyone trying to play like a pro.
- Best for squads: Supervisor — extra paper stacks per grab plus party-wide carry at every level.
- Best for survival: Night Guard — up to 70% less FBI damage and full cobweb immunity at level 3.
- Fastest paperclip farm: speed-clear Room 1, leave, rejoin, repeat. Expect roughly 11–19 paperclips per run.

How classes and paperclips work
- 1
Open the class menu from the lobby
Classes are bought in the spawn lobby, not mid-run. Hit the Classes button on the left of the screen — the same corner shows your paperclip balance, so you always know how far off the next unlock you are.

Check the paperclip price before you grind
Every class has three levels. You pay paperclips once to unlock the class, then more paperclips for each level — and each level is a big jump in power, not a small nudge. The menu prices below are read straight off the class menu in the source footage; they were never spoken aloud and may change with updates. Level-up costs are not confirmed yet.

Intern — the starter crank class
The class everyone begins with, built around the hand crank. Level 1 doubles how fast your cranks charge the shredder, which helps in the opening minutes — but crank perks fade once your upgrades take over, and Vorzy calls level 2 nearly pointless. Level 3 at least adds +2 carry capacity on top.

Intern level 1: cranks charge the shredder twice as fast.Watch at 5:00
- Level 1: cranks charge the shredder 2x as fast
- Level 2: +30% crank speed
- Level 3: cranks charge 3x as fast, cranks are 50% quicker, +2 carry capacity
- 4
Associate — carry capacity plus starter cash
A straightforward economy class: every level adds carry capacity and a starter-money bonus. Vorzy’s verdict is blunt — starter money is pointless long term, so do not rush this one. He only narrates level 1; the level 2 and 3 values below are read off the in-game card in the same footage.

- Level 2: +3 carry capacity, +$1,000 starter money
- Level 3: +5 carry capacity, +$1,500 starter money

Night Guard — the survival pick
A defensive class whose perks cut FBI damage and remove the cobweb slow — the two threats that kill your pace in later rooms. At level 3 you take 70% less FBI damage, ignore cobwebs completely, heal twice as fast and move 10% faster.

- Level 1: take 30% less damage from the FBI
- Level 2: take 50% less FBI damage, cobwebs no longer slow you down
- Level 3: take 70% less FBI damage, cobwebs never slow you, heal 2x as fast, +10% walk speed

Supervisor — the team hauling class
Vorzy’s second recommendation and the best squad class. Every level adds a whole extra paper stack per grab plus a party-wide carry bonus. With a team this snowballs hard; solo, the party bonus does nothing for you.

- Level 1: grab 2 stacks of paper at a time, +2 carry capacity for the party
- Level 2: grab 3 stacks at a time, +3 carry capacity for the party
- Level 3: grab 4 stacks at a time, +4 carry capacity for the party
- 7
Manager — speed plus a party cash aura
The hybrid pick: personal walk speed, a party-wide cash boost and some individual carry at every level. The level 3 draw is +20% walk speed — moving faster is earning faster. The screenshot shows the level 2 tab selected on the in-game card.

- Level 3: +20% walk speed, +16% party cash boost, +4 individual carry capacity

CEO — the best class in the game
The most expensive class at 1,100 paperclips and, in Vorzy’s words, the one to use if you want to play like a pro. It stacks party-wide carry, a party cash boost, huge starter money and — from level 2 — walk speed, combining the best parts of every other class.

CEO level 1 already buffs the whole party.Watch at 8:25
- Level 1: +2 carry capacity for the whole party, +10% party cash boost, $2,000 starter money
- Level 2: +3 party carry, +18% party cash boost, $4,000 starter money, +8% walk speed
- Level 3: +4 party carry, +25% party cash boost, $6,000 starter money, +15% walk speed*
*The CEO level 3 narration is garbled ("plus 50% plus 15% walk speed"); +15% fits the 0 → 8 → 15 progression and is the community-reported reading.
How to get paperclips fast
- 9
Let paperclips drop while you shred
Paperclips come from playing: completing a room pays out clips, and they also drop mid-run as you shred paper. Reported hauls range from about 11–12 clips in a casual 9-minute run (Clout Brothers) to 19 clips in one focused round (Vorzy) — no Robux required.

Speed-clear Room 1, then rejoin and repeat
The fastest farm is boring but effective: finish Room 1 — doable in under 10 minutes — leave, rejoin and clear it again. Two time-savers from the source footage: you only need to carve a path to the next room instead of emptying this one, and you can feed every stack into the shredder first and cash the paper balls in at the end.

Paperclips can also be bought with Robux, and the shop sells a 2x Paperclips game pass (per the Clout Brothers guide). Neither is required — the Room 1 loop above is free.
Which class fits your playstyle?
- Solo carry: CEO. The party bonuses still apply to you, and the walk speed plus starter money shortens every room. Manager is the cheaper stepping stone — its +20% walk speed at level 3 is the best personal mobility perk.
- Squad support: Supervisor for raw hauling (4 stacks per grab at level 3), then Manager or CEO for party-wide cash. Note these picks are community-reported — Vorzy ranks CEO first and Supervisor second.
- Survival: Night Guard if the FBI or cobwebs keep ending your runs.
- Skip early: Associate — the starter-money bonus stops mattering fast — and Intern past the opening rooms, since crank perks matter less once Automatic Shredder upgrades kick in.

How much do classes cost in Shred the Secrets?
The class menu in the source footage shows Intern 100, Associate 100, Night Guard 300, Supervisor 200, Manager 300 and CEO 1,100 paperclips. The cost of leveling a class up is not confirmed in any footage we reviewed, and prices may change with updates.

Clear Room 1 as fast as possible, leave, rejoin and repeat — Room 1 can be finished in under 10 minutes. Reported earnings run from about 11–12 paperclips in a casual run to 19 in a focused one. You only need to clear a path to the next room, not every paper stack.

Community-reported answer: CEO. It combines party carry, a party cash boost, large starter money and walk speed, and Vorzy recommends it for anyone trying to play like a pro. For squad play specifically, Supervisor is his second pick.
Do class perks apply to the whole team?
Some do. Supervisor, Manager and CEO have explicit party-wide bonuses (carry capacity and cash boost), while Intern, Associate and Night Guard perks are personal. Whether multiple party auras stack is not confirmed.
Can you buy paperclips with Robux?
Yes — paperclips are sold for Robux, and there is a 2x Paperclips game pass. Farming Room 1 is free and fast enough that most players will not need either.
